A child after my own heart! Youngest son, college-bound Nathan, scored well at the second hand shops in Chillicothe today. He has decided to spiffy up his wardrobe from jeans and t-shirts to a bit better dressed these past months. Although his shoe purchases were high, there’s not much to be done with that. He still did well buying new. Honestly, he was in a shoe poor situation – everything he had is worn out and will be thrown away.
Great job!!!

They do look new, but no tags. However, he found out from the clerk at Salvation Army store that the local men’s dress shoppe occasionally drops off brand new clothes that are left over each season. So they may be. He’s a smaller size than many people.

Well then that was lucky for him. He did not need extra large or tall size, etc. Glad he has a nice collection at a very reasonable cost!

your son? you must be proud. College and education are amazing, though leaving home is hard for everyone

Yes, he is our youngest. This signals the end of our 13 years of homeschooling. All three of our children have excelled academically and spiritually. They are better people than their parents – we are blessed far more than we deserve.

well deserved – home schooling cannot be easy

there are challenges to be sure, but not difficult in the big scheme of things. My goal, early on became to teach them to learn and to love learning – once they learnt that – my only job was guidance and keeping them on schedule when necessary.

I wouldn’t have the patience to be a formal teacher with all the govt constraints and requirements. My daughter, however, has been able to handle that. She started two years ago teaching kindergarten in Tegucigalpa and now is getting settled in Dubai, UAE for the next two years.
