With the Feast of Unleavened Bread (one of Yah’s commanded feast/festivals for His Set Apart people), it brings to light His enduring love for us. There are many specialty diets out there, but the one i focus on is the one YHWH defines for us in Leviticus 11.
Many scholarly types wish to change the dietary laws by twisting Scripture in other parts of the Bible (and some even use extra biblical passages as ‘gospel!) to support their ideology. But honestly, if God says, why manipulate and contort to in your own mind justify your man-made habits and traditions.
In the popular vernacular – ‘What would Jesus do?’ the answer is for sure He would not eat ham! Are we to follow Jesus (Yahshua) or not?
Today’s menu includes salmon patties, so i’m replacing crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with rice and smashed sweet potatoes.
Israeli Salad would be another great side dish, but it is too much chewing for June (Allen’s 99 year old aunt) so my sunday lunches tend towards very soft.
On the side are new potatoes tossed with sea salt, olive oil, and rosemary and baked for 40 minutes. Lettuce bed. Dessert is our home raised, canned apples warmed with honey from Nebraska, butter from Ireland, and a good dose of cinnamon from somewhere. Topped with fresh sweetened cream.

Was Jesus a Vegetarian?
I had someone ask me if Jesus was a vegetarian. That is a question I have never thought much about. Apparently there are some in the vegan world promoting this concept.
Answer: Jesus was not a vegetarian. The Bible records Jesus eating fish in Luke 24:42-43. In Luke 22:7-15, we are told that Jesus ate the Passover meal with his disciples. This meal included the Passover lamb.
I would like to say that Jesus was a big beef eater, but I cannot find any scriptures to support that way of thinking. However, when Jesus tells the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32, he said the “father killed the fattened calf” to celebrate the return of his son.
After the flood, God gave mankind permission to eat meat (Genesis 9:1-3). God has never rescinded this permission.
With that said… there is nothing wrong with a Christian being a vegetarian. The Bible does not command us to eat meat. The Bible does say, though, that we should not force our convictions about this issue on other people or judge them by what they eat or do not eat (Romans 14:1-3).

The third of the 2014-2015 blood moon tetrads occurred this morning at 6:59 am central time in the US. These are the eighth time since the death and resurrection of Yeshua that these have been presented in the heavens on YHWH’s mo’edim. Should we be watching?
YHWH gave us seven holy days and feasts we are to keep each year. Pesach (Passover) and Feast of Unleavened Bread are coming up this week. How are we to observe (memorialize) these holy days today?
